#EdCampSM Santa Maria: Sailing the 4 Cs of edtech!

Educators from all over came together to learn and teach each other about what they were doing in their classrooms!  It's called an "unconference" because each participant helps makes the agenda.
It started with some great coffee and breakfast...

Then each teacher posted what they wanted to learn about.

Those post its were sorted into rooms over 3 sessions.  Then you just pick which sessions you would like to go to!

Rock Stars, Geri Coats and Cat Petty, organized and executed the EdCamp with style!

I'm not a Cumber-girl myself, but if I was, I would own this bag.

Phil introduced us to Augmented Reality (AR)-- a way of interaction between the digital and real world.  Really cool ideas!  This photo above was an Animal cell with highlighted parts and a quiz to see if you knew which was which!

Another app, Anatomy 4D, let you interact with the human heart and body!

The App Elements 4D, let you interact with with paper cubes labeled with different elements from the periodic table.  If you combine the right elements, you will see an animation of the combined element.  Above, we combined 2 blocks of Hydrogen /Oxygen to create water, the animation made the cubes look like they were filled with water!

John Miller helped me get started on MinecraftEDU on my Macbook!  Thanks again John!

Another AR app called, Chromville, let you color pages and see an animated character come to life!

Matt is a new friend I met and look forward to following in the future.
